Spider-Ham brought Annihilape up to Dr. Crawdaddy during one of their battles, comparing what he deemed a weak villain name to Annihilape's that, according to him, comparatively made a better pun.[1]

- In the comics, the ape villain enemy of Spider-Ham was Mysteriape, the ape counterpart of Quentin Beck/Mysterio.
- He is not related to an iconic Fantastic Four villain, Annihilus or the Pokemon of the same name.
