Character Pages
In-Universe Perspective
- When we talk about the characters in their own articles we want it to be as graphic as possible. We recommended not using anything in Out-Universe so that it feels like a true biography. For example with the appearance of Peter Porker instead of putting his appearance in Into the Spider-Verse under the heading the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse change it to a way that is more descriptive how to use the heading the Collider Crisis (which is the name given to the events of the movie). Similar to how the MCU Wiki does it.
- We also recommend that you do not use the names of the universes they come from too much, since the pages of the characters are written from their perspective for example. When we said that Peter B. Parker became the Spider-Man of his universe we instead said he became the hero of New York, the same for the rest of the characters. The only exception to this rule is when we talk about locations in the franchise, or when the characters are interacting with the multiverse.
- We will also have a heading of relationships where we can put the friends, the enemies, and allies of the character we're talking about.
- If we are talking about another version of a character that appeared previously in the franchise, the same rule applies. Treating him as a separate character and not mentioning that he is another version of another character until he interacts with the multiverse.
Out of Universe Perspective
- Pages that will be out of universe perspective are actors, directors, musicians, and other people who work behind the scenes in the franchise. For example Jake Johnson.
Other Franchise Characters
- When characters from other marvel franchises appear, to this franchise. For example, the Peter Parker from the animated series of 1967. Even though the wiki doesn't make that series part of the franchise, we can still use that as a basis for the Early Life of the character so that when we talk about the character prior to the franchise, we can use some of the events of the series as part of his life before the franchise in order to put him as a reference. In order to do that we need to put <ref> as depicted in [and we put the series, movie, game, etc. where they debuted]</ref>.
- When we talk about the early life of a non-franchise character using their events from the series they were introduced. Do not write the complete summary of all the events that they experienced in the series or movie they originate from, instead write a short summary of the events they experience in the series or movie, just the important ones, so we have context of their early life before joining this franchise.
- You can not upload any images of the series where they originate or any dialogue by a character of the series that are outside the franchise unless those dialogues appear in a movie of the franchise. If we mention a character that did not appear in the franchise or was mentioned but was part of the early life of another franchise character. You have to direct this person to the link of a page from another wiki when we can find information about this character.
Universes Pages
Creating New Universes
- In the Spider-Verse franchise, the theme of the multiverse is very present. Due to this, pages are created for the universes presented. Some are adaptations of the comics named by the franchise while others are already established universes in other marvel franchises whose universe number has already been established by Marvel Comics. Any member of the community can create pages about the universes presented, however it is recommended to follow these rules and requirements to see if the universe deserves its own page or not.
- Rule 1 : It needs to be involved in the franchise somehow, like in a flashback, in a sequence, or its version of Spider-Man appearing in an installment of the franchise.
- Rule 2 : If it appear in the franchise but their universe is mentioned. Either that universe appears but it doesn't have much information or it belongs to another franchise. The universe can still be part of the franchise but instead of having its separate page it will be on the list of known universes on the multiverse page. (For Example the Marvel Cinematic Universe {Earth-199999} was mentioned in Across the Spider-Verse by Miguel O'Hara so it appears as our list of known universes in the Multiverse instead of having a separate page. The same could go for the universe depicted in the trailer as well with the Spider-People.
Unnamed Universes
- However, there could be some universes which have not been named by the franchise or by Marvel Comics. But who univers were given Temporary Reality Numbers, but them, unlike universes like Earth-616 which, despite the fact that it have the unofficial name of Earth-TRN701, the franchise named it as 616 so that´s the number the wiki covered.
- However, there could be other numbers that, unlike what has been mentioned, only have an unofficial number if that happens. Avoid using TRNS in any way. For example if the Earth-TRN765 universe (the universe where Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order takes place) were to appear in the franchise instead of calling it by the name TRN765. We will give it a nickname for example: Alliance Universe. We can may used the TRNS number in the list of unidentified realities.
Multiverse Pages
- These are the categories that do not have a specific universe, it is recommended to use that for an organization whose base of operation is the multiverse like Spider-Society. As wells as items with different incarnations through the universe such as the Spider-Man Suit.
Disambiguation Pages
Disambiguation
- If there are articles that have the same or a similar name, such as ''Mary Jane" then you should make a disambiguation page that lists all the pages with those nearly identical names to help keep the wiki organized. This is only used for media only. Like organizations, characters hubs, or media that may shared the same title.
Character Hubs
- This is a way to select several alternate versions of a specific character. Every time a new character appears add it using the template ''Character Disambiguation" if their universe is not yet revealed in this franchise please use Unidentified Universe instead of TBA (To Be Announced).
