"You mess with the ham, you get the hammer!!"
- Spider-Ham[src]

Peter Porker, also known as Spider-Ham, is an anthropomorphic and comedic version of Peter Parker, and the only known spider-person of his cartoonic world.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

"My name is Peter Porker. I was bitten by a radioactive pig. I'm a photographer for the Daily Beagle. When I'm not pooching around, I'm working like a dog, trying to sniff out the latest story."
―Peter Porker[src]

Peter was previously a spider who was about to bite a pig when, instead, he was bitten by the pig. The pig turned out to be radioactive, and Peter was turned into a pig with spider abilities. Peter spent his days as a photographer for the Daily Beagle and as the crime-fighting Spider-Ham as he faced many enemies including Annihilape, Goose Cannon, Cyber Billygoat, Baked Clamurai and many others.

Kidnap of Peter Porker[]

During one of his many days fighting crime, Peter was captured by the villain Dr. Crawdaddy. Through fast thinking and criticism of Doctor Crawdaddy's chosen moniker, Spider-Ham managed to defeat the villain and escape, shortly after which he was sucked into a portal.

Collider Crisis[]

Arriving to another universe[]

Minutes later, as Peter was going to move away from the villain's lair, he gets sucked into a multiversal portal, transporting him into another dimension, confused since the unexpected turn of events, Peter wound up at the home of the universe's May Parker in search of assistant, where he would met Peni Parker and Spider-Man Noir.

Meeting More Spider-People[]

Sometime later her met three other Spider-People: Gwen Stacy, another Peter Parker from another universe, and the first-timer Miles Morales.

Peter, like the rest of the Spider-People, volunteered to stay behind so that the others could go home and he could destroy the collider himself. When Miles told them that he would do it, he and the others tried to test Miles' readiness for the task by grilling him and kicking him around, but only succeeded in adding to the pressure the boy felt.

Returning to his universe[]

"You got a problem with cartoons?"
―Peter Porker to Scorpion[src]

They all went to Miles' dorm room later to offer their condolences after the death of his Uncle Aaron, and he, in a rare moment of wisdom, told Miles that they can't save everyone. They all left once they had the goober and proceeded to the Fisk Tower, with Peter B. Parker determined to be the one to stay behind so the rest can go home. Miles eventually caught up with them and, after a tussle with Scorpion, who underestimate him for being a cartoon character, he was the third to be sent home. He left his hammer with Miles before jumping into the portal.

Spider-War[]

Rescuing Miles[]

Sometime later, Peter was recruited by Gwen and Peterinto a reorganized Spider-Gang to rescue Miles from Earth-42 and save his father from Spot and the Spider Society. After picking up Peter B. and his daughter Mayday Parker, Peter and his teammates assembled on Peter B.'s roof. There, they swung through a portal to Earth-42 to save their friend.[1]

Personality[]

"I frolic and I dance, and I do this with my pants—"
―Peter Porker before getting cut off by Peter B. Parker[src]

Spider-Ham has a personality typical of a cartoon character: friendly, goofy, and very cheerful. Like most cartoon characters he often expresses his passions like singing and dancing in a comedic way. Another trait of his is that he can be very emotional. He is equally able to laugh as easily as he tends to cry when the situation becomes depressing. Though he does not take well towards the people who dares to underestimate the cartoonic people from his earth, including himself to be silly and weak.

Powers & Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Spider physiology: Having been bitten by a genetically-altered pig, Peter became an anthropomorphic pig while retaining his various enhanced spider abilities such as enhanced strength, speed, agility, spider-sense, and the ability to climb walls.
    • Enhanced strength: Peter possesses the proportionate strength of a spider, allowing him to face foes in combat that would otherwise overwhelm him.
    • Enhanced speed: Peter can run and move at speeds that are beyond his natural physical limits. He is able to traverse several paces while running and web-swinging.
    • Enhanced agility: Peter possesses enhanced levels of agility that are far beyond the natural physical limits.
    • Indestructibility: Due to his cartoon physics, Spider-Ham is nearly invulnerable to any physical damage, being practically indestructible.
    • Wall-crawling: Peter possesses the ability to cling onto any surface.
    • Spider-Sense: When danger is present, Peter experiences a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His spider-sense offers him near complete awareness of his surroundings that, in conjunction with his reflexes, allows him to instinctively dodge or counter nearly all attacks directed at him. His spider-sense also helps him recognize other individuals with spider-powers, making them have some sort of connection.

Abilities[]

  • Toon force: Aside from the classic powers he shares with most of the spider-people, due to the nature of his universe, Spider-Ham is near invulnerable and extremely agile. He is capable of feats that normal people cannot achieve, such as carrying an infinite amount of antics items such as hammers, magnets, and anvils in his pockets.
    • Medium awareness: Peter seems to know that he is a fictional character in a movie.
    • Hammerspace: Spider-Ham is capable of accessing a pocket dimension, with which he uses to use items he would otherwise be unable to fit on his person. What is more his pocket can carry infinite number of slapstick objects like hammers, magnets and anvils. Which ironically makes him probably one of the strongest Spider-People in the Multiverse.

Trivia[]

  • At the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse where Spider-Ham reunited with the newly updated Spider-gang, Spider-Ham can be seen wearing a device that strongly resembles the multiversal gizmo watch. This suggests that he is/was a member of Miguel O'Hara's Spider-Society. This might also explain Miguel's use of the term "Hammerspace" to describe the ability to infinitely store objects in an extradimensional area.
